New H’andy sana mobile phone with integrated ECG functionality offers remote lifeline for people with heart problems
MMB GmbH signs deal to bring new mobile medical technology to the UK market with MMUK Ltd, headed up by former Vodafone Director Jonathan Viney
A new mobile phone that provides a quick and simple way measure, record and send vital Electrocardiograms, ECGs, could help for millions of people who suffer from heart-related medical conditions claims its German inventors. The H’andy sana is a new full-featured, touch screen mobile phone that also includes an application called Heart Suite. This allows a person to take their ECG instantly from anyplace and at anytime; and send it to a doctor or qualified medical professional for advice along with other data such as blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol.
The new mobile device will be launched in the UK later this year by Medical Marketing UK Ltd, that has signed a deal with MMB GmbH for exclusive marketing rights for the H’andy sana along with other innovative products in the MMB portfolio. MMUK is headed up by former Vodafone director Jonathan Viney whose experience of sales strategy and management stretches over 28 years, across a variety of industries from Retail, FMCG to Telecommunications.
During his 15 years at Vodafone, Viney was credited as one of the management team to merge five disparate sales teams, which in 6 months developed a leading position with 74% market share. He was also responsible for setting up and running Vodafone UK’s first International sales team responsible for over £300 million of turnover.
A number of leading telco companies have already expressed interest in taking the H’andy sana to market.
